Manohar Mariapan (PhD) is an Associate Professor in the department of Recreation and EcoTourism, Faculty of Forestry, Universiti Putra Malaysia. He has a Diploma in Ornamental Horticulture & Landscape Design (Singapore), a Diploma Forestry (UPM), a Bachelor of Science in Parks & Recreation Management (CSU, USA) and a PhD in Environmental Interpretation (CSU, USA).

As a nature interpreter and academic he has vast experience in environmental interpretation which includes interpretive photography and birding. Dr. Mano is very active in implementing environmental interpretive programs, and interpretation training. He has also produced many interpretive materials for recreation forest and nature reserves in the country. Dr. Mano is also a certified Interpretation Trainer and he conducts research in Interpretation as it relates to the socio-psychological aspects of human dimensions.
