Vale Eco Centre Volunteer Training Programme

ECOMY was commissioned by Vale Malaysia Minerals to conduct a series of Nature Interpretation Courses for their Volunteers at the Vale Eco Centre.

Already open to the public, this new and interesting center will officially be launched sometime this year to the public and besides boasting of having a lush primary and beautiful protected forest, the centre’s other important assets are its volunteers and local community support.

The first training/orientation for about 26 happy volunteers was held 15-16 August 2015 to help prepare train them to take people on wonderful guided walks.

The orientation included basic introductions to our rainforest, ecotourism principles, facilities, forest and beach interpretive stations and birdwatching.

It is the important step towards raising up green ambassadors at Vale but their enthusiasm and keen interest, will definitely make it an amazing journey for them as well as the visitors to the Centre.
